Sleep ApneaBrevard, NC
Twenty-five percent of people suffer from obstructive sleep apnea, or OSA, causing them to stop breathing while they sleep. If you suffer from sleep apnea, you are at a higher risk of: Excessive daytime sleepiness, High blood pressure, Stroke, Obesity, Diabetes, Decreased sex drive, Driving and work-related accidents. We are focused on providing our patients a solution to their sleeping disorder. With the help of our MATRx plus at home sleep study system, we are able to provide a faster and easier path to treatment. With the MATRx plus, a comprehensive evaluation of a patient’s response to oral appliance therapy is conducted while they sleep by pulling the patient’s jaw forward into the correct positon. By conducting the sleep study this way, we are able to reduce treatment time by weeks and the patient’s sleep apnea can be treated more quickly. It also means potentially fewer appliance fitting appointments. We are excited that Dr. Bart Van and Dr. James Hogg are teaming up to help patients in our surrounding communities obtain a better quality of life.
